2008/9 has been a momentous year for Pascal and Florence. They have formally changed the name of the Domaine- Pascal joked that after 15 years, his apprenticeship was probably complete!- and they have also acquired a new Grand Cru for the cellar, a lovely holding of Latricières-Chambertin. In addition, their winemaking facilities have been upgraded even further as Pascal continues to examine every part of the process in his quest for ever greater quality.

We have been enormously impressed with the results here over several years but it is a delight to see the Domaine still forging ahead rather than resting on its laurels. 2008 was a year in the vineyard of high stress levels and huge commitment but the results of that work are abundantly clear in a fabulous set of wines. Pascal rates them second only to his 2005s, with more aromatic intensity than his excellent 2006s and with greater ageing potential than his already delicious 2007s. This year, we are also delighted to be able to offer a number of the wines in larger formats.
