Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Bois Pointu

2010 is the first vintage of Le Bois Pontu to be produced by Charles Blagden in conjunction with the Gonnet family. It is produced from two tiny parcels located next to Vieux Télégraphe and Château Rayas. Black fruit and liquorice aromas, with concentrated, ripe black fruits, raspberrries, liquorice, chocolate and tobacco leaves on the palate. Very concentrated pure fruit with layers of complexity. Fine grained tannins and refreshing acidity, with lingering notes of black fruit and a hint of smoke. Super rich and dense. Tiny parcels, tiny quanties, but big on flavour.
