Gigondas 2010

£170 per 12 IB

We tasted 2 foudres samples. The first sample was inky black in colour with beautifully concentrated black fruit and crème de mure aromas. Pure blackcurrant on the palate with notes of chocolate and lilac. Intensely fruity. Foudres 2 had more red fruit flavours mixed with the black fruits, and liquorice and lavender notes. A very lively palate with lovely refreshing acidity. Fantastic juice from both barrels from the extremely accomplished Faraud sisters.
