Enticing and heady aromas of concentrated black fruits, redcurrants, blueberries and cigar box. Intense and concentrated on the palate with more black and blueberry fruit flavours, cigar box and spice. Rich in texture and packed full of flavour. This really over-delivers for a Côtes du Rhône - so much so, that some of the tasting team thought we were actually starting with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape!

Big, bold and brooding. Chunky dark fruits, plums and spice with earthy hints. Velvety smooth with lifting acidity and a good tannic grip. Rich, rounded and structured.

 

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Etienne Gonnet 2010

The grapes for the Cuvee Etienne Gonnet are picked from the highly prized red clay Les Crau vineyard, from 95-100 year old vines. Perfumed on the nose with scents of violets and cherries intermingling. Beautifully layered on the palate with mouthfilling ripe fruit flavours - supple and elegant, with well integrated tannins on the finish. Perfectly balanced, powerful, yet elegant.

 

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Elégance de Jeanne 2010

Elégance de Jeanne is produced exclusively from Grenache vines with an age of between 110-112 years from the famous La Crau vineyard. Rigorous vineyard selection results in a production quantity of only 300 cases per year.  Big and bold. Very intense on the nose with abundant rich black fruit. Dense, robust, chunky fruit on the palate with notes of black cherries and blackcurrant. Plenty of grippy tannin with good acidity to lift on the finish.
