Condrieu La Bonnette 2010
£395 per 12 IB
Citrus, apricot and floral aromas lead on to similar flavours on the palate, with added hints of brioche, lychee and tinned peaches. A soft, creamy, medium-bodied mouthfeel which is delicate and precise. This wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation as René Rostaing felt that the acidity was soft enough.

Abundant flavours of rich, brooding black fruit with liquorice and spice. Supple on the palate with layered rich fruit flavours, spice and pepper, yet with finesse and complexity. Lovely structure with fine grained tannins and a lingering finish. Very elegant.
Côte Rôtie La Landonne 2010

Aromas of roast beef, leather and a note of iodine. Lovely layers of concentrated black fruit, damson and cherries on the palate, with smoky flavours and and white pepper. Good fruit weight and depth of flavour without heaviness. Refined tannins to balance, leading onto a very long finish. Poised and elegant.

A rich compote of concentrated black fruits and redcurrants, with hints of roast meat and bacon. Lovely rich fruit weight on the palate with intense flavours of roast meat, black fruits, spice, roasted coffee beans and a lick of black pepper. Powerful, yet with lovely chewy tannins and lively acidity. A very long finish with lingering flavours of dark chocolate. Seriously impressive.
