Now fully established in his magnificent cellars in Nuits St Georges, we can expect Grégoire's reputation to keep rising.
Grégoire Bichot's wines have been going from strength to strength and the 2010 are the finest he has ever made. They have a precision and purity of fruit which we have not seen in recent vintages, due as much to his growing understanding and confidence in the vineyards as to the qualities of the vintage. Yields were of course significantly reduced in 2010 but Grégoire has maintained his 2009 pricing which is commendable. Now fully established in his magnificent cellars in Nuits St Georges, we can expect Grégoire's reputation to keep rising.

Beaune Vieilles Vignes £155.00
The character of the 2010 vintage expresses itself on the nose with a superb linear definition and great purity of fruit with a hint of cedar and wild herbs. On the palate, ripe, rounded and vibrant red berry fruits combine with a mouthwatering freshness. This is a delicious, easy drinking Beaune which should provide great value. Drink from release.
Beaune 1er Cru Les Avaux £195.00
This is a very elegant wine with some really pure fruit qualities. There is wonderful clarity on the palate, a racy, cool acidity and an extremely refined tannic structure which blends seamlessly with the refined redcurrant and strawberry fruits. On the finish there is just a hint of wild herbs with an elegant cedar character which frames the wine beautifully. Drink from 2013.
Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Les Crots £265.00
The nose is elegant and bright with vibrant redcurrant fruit characters and a hint of smoke and cedar. The palate is energetic and refreshing with dark brooding, forest fruits in the background and exotic notes of spices, herbs and leather. The 2010 is an excellent wine and shows how much progress Grégoire has been making in the vineyards. Drink from 2014.
