Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot

There were smiles all round this year at Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot where the team view it as an easy vintage with normal yields and little need for the sorting table to be dusted down. The entire harvest was in by 11th September and the quality is fine in both colours, with the reds fully ripe and concentrated and the whites showing similar finesse and poise to the 2002s. ©armit

White

Meursault Vireuils

12 bottles £275.00 Buy

Notes of ripe grapefruit and confit lemon on the nose, this is bright and engaging with correct acidity and an easy, carefree style. No need to hold back. Drink from release. ©armit

Puligny Montrachet

12 bottles £295.00 Buy

A blend across nine parcels of 40 year-old vines, this is an excellent Puligny, showing the finesse and floral notes for which the appellation is famed and greater spice and zip. There is an attractive crunchiness to the fruit and good balance on the finish. A year in bottle will do it no harm but we wouldn’t be surprised if you can’t resist. Drink from 2012. ©armit

Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Garenne

12 bottles £495.00 Buy

An aromatic and lifted nose with a note of aniseed and tarragon and a little candied fruit. On the palate, the wine is dead straight, thrusting towards the finish line with clear intent. Fresh and zingy on the finish, this has plenty of character. Drink from 2013. ©armit

Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Referts

12 bottles £495.00 Buy

Exotic fruit notes here with apricot and green banana, there is extra volume and flesh on the palate too with a little creamy almond and cinnamon spice to be found. Aromatically complex, there is power in abundance here and just enough fresh acidity to keep it in check. Mouth-filling and dense, this creates quite an impact. Drink from 2013. ©armit

Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet

12 bottles £495.00 Buy

A wonderfully aromatic nose of vanilla, soft cream, peach and apricot with floral blossoms, this is really attractive and enticing. On the palate, there is no aggression at all, just a pleasant inner calm. The most detailed of the three 1er crus. Drink from 2013. ©armit

Pommard

12 bottles £225.00 Buy

A sweet, ripe attack featuring pepper and clove with dense black fruits. On the palate, tight but fully ripe tannins allow this wine to show its form and with such concentration and depth, we would advise giving this a couple of years to mellow. Drink from 2013  ©armit

Pommard 1er Cru Jarollières

12 bottles £370.00 Buy

Jean-Marc has a good holding of 70 year-old vines in this lovely 1er cru on the Volnay border. The tannins are particularly silky this year with soft, creamy tones and a perfumed aromatic profile. This is Pommard at its most charming. Drink from 2014.©armit
