Maximise the purest expression of terroir and fruit, a philosophy which is beautifully illustrated in his 2010s with their detailed, elegant and fluid style.
Jean-Marc strives to produce pure, mesmerising wines with the accent firmly on aroma and pure fruit. He achieves this through very low yields in the vineyard and gentle handling in the cellar. Great care is taken not to over extract on the basis that the density of texture and flavour are already present in the carefully selected grapes. Ageing in oak casks does not exceed 50% for the Grands Crus and 25% for the villages and Premier Cru wines to maximise the purest expression of terroir and fruit, a philosophy which is beautifully illustrated in his 2010s with their detailed, elegant and fluid style.

Côtes de Nuits Villages Aux Faulques £165.00 Sold Out
A wine with great purity and delicacy on the nose with some lovely sweet red berry fruit characters. The palate has excellent definition with fine tannins and a mineral quality which runs through to the finish. Charming and elegant, this wine is a real achievement at this level. Drink from release.

An attractive, spicy aroma with savoury, mineral notes and a hint of leather and spice. The fruit on the palate is crunchy and bright with rose petals and violets in the foreground, and sweeter fruits opening up at the back. An appealing, delicate wine, it will be delicious to drink from release.

Reserved at first, this wine opens in the glass to reveal an expansive bouquet of sweet, red berry fruit aromas with a darker, violet floral quality. Delicate redcurrant and black fruit notes swirl around the mouth with fluidity and energy, held in place by some very refined tannins and a refreshing, persistent acidity. This wine has superb definition with a linear mineral note which runs right through to the finish. Drink from 2015.

A delicate wine on the nose with notes of violets, subtle red fruits and a hint of pepper and spice. The palate is slightly reserved at the moment but there is a lot of hidden depth supported by a fine backbone of tannins and an energetic freshness. This wine will need a few years in bottle before it reaches full expression. Drink from 2016.

This is a wine with finesse and power with great purity of fruit, a racy energy and round, integrated tannins. Underneath the attractive, sweet fruit is a pure, linear mineral quality which gives definition and style. The fruit intensity grows to a crescendo in the mouth as the wine opens out. Drink from 2016.
Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru 6 bottles £480.00 Sold Out
A very small quantity of this wine is produced each year. The bouquet has an almost ethereal quality with delicate rose petal notes. On the palate there is wonderful fluidity and length with an elegant mineral edge. The tannins are firm but they are completely integrated. This is an incredibly refined and delicate wine with great depths of complex fruit. Drink from 2016.
