The Faiveley revolution is one of the most exciting stories in the Côte today and the giant has well and truly woken up and is now setting a blistering pace that few can live with. The acquisition of vineyards from the Monnot family has seen coveted wines such as Bâtard and Bienvenues Bâtard Montrachet appear in the range, alongside the Meursaults from the lease with Matrot Wittersheim. The winemaking continues to advance too. We noted in 2007 that the wines had at last discovered the joy of fruit and this has clearly struck a chord with Burgundy lovers around the world. Erwan Faiveley, MD Bernard Hervet and winemaker Jerome Flous deserve hearty congratulation for their efforts.
