The Domaine is run by brothers Jean & Michel Gonnet – first cousins with the Brunier sons – and now ably assisted by their sons. They own 50 hectares of land: 30 are located in Châteauneuf, including a parcel in the famous Le Crau vineyard, and the rest of which are in Côtes du Rhône. The cellar is operated by gravity, minimal new oak is employed and the wines are not filtered or fined – all of which serve to produce beautifully crafted Châteauneuf du Pape with maximum expression of terroir and purity of fruit.

Produced from 100% Roussanne and made in very tiny quantities. Very aromatic and complex scents of white peach, spice & lemon citrus. More citrus and spice on the palate with floral notes and underlying minerality. Excellent fruit weight and with good oak integration, adding a creaminess to the palate. Graceful and refined and with incredibly long lenth. Enchanting.   - armit

Abundant back fruits, smoke and pepper on the nose. Very ripe, jammy, layered fruit flavours with creaminess and a dash of pepper. Opulent, powerful and rich with firm structure and impressive length. - armit

The fruit is sourced entirely from 110 year old vines from the premium Le Crau vineyard. This year's blend is slightly different as the yield of Mourvèdre was reduced. Christmas cake and cinammon spice on the nose. Rich, red and black fruit and raspberry jam flavours on the palate, which is extremely concentrated and layered. Broad, complex and intense, although with good freshness and elegance. Glorious. - armit
