pochon wines 2006 rhone en primeur

Domaine Pochon

The beautiful Chateau de Curson with its winding stone stairs and towers has been in the Pochon family for years, along with the surrounding 15 hectares of vines, but it has only been since the late 1980s that the estate has been producing its own wines. Having previously sold the grapes to the village co-operative, it was in 1988 that Etienne Pochon bottled and produced his first vintage. For Etienne, his 2006 whites are on a par with his excellent 2005s, but the 2006 reds are a step up in quality from the 2005s: less tannic and more classic.
